Angelina Jolie Shares Her Life-Changing Journey To Cambodia With Louis Vuitton

In case you haven’t heard, Angelina Jolie is the new face of Louis Vuitton’s Core Values Ad Campaign. Photographed by Annie Leibovitz, Angelina  sits barefooted in a bateu amidst the swamps of Cambodia’s Siem Reap province with Louis Vuitton’s monogrammed Alto bag on her shoulder, looking out into the distance. As she does so, she conveys the brand’s core values of travel and self-discovery, as well as conservation efforts, that other “personalities of extraordinary stature” such as Mikhail Gorbachev, Bono, and Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have previously been chosen to portray. But that’s not all. Keep an eye out for Louis Vuitton’s journeys website, as later this week they will be posting an interview with the actress in which Angelina discusses her visit to Cambodia and how it transformed her life. Can’t wait!

Fashion Watch: Corso Como ‘Christian’ Peep Toe Bootie

A favorite shoe that has been recalled on for inspiration this year is the 2009 Louis Vuitton Cherie Ankle Bootie (Left).

Some of the pieces that have reincorporated the straps to create the ultimate statement of luxury, femininity and elegance include LV’s 2010 Summer Hug Me! Sandal in Suede ($805.00)  and the 2010 Winter Anastasia Sandal-Boot in Suede Calf Leather and Fox Fur ($2,720.00) .

And if these pieces are just a little out of your reach – no fear! This season, other designers have recycled this trend – offering you the highly desired style at more affordable prices. Take a look at this Corso Como ‘Christian’ Peep Toe Bootie (Bottom), for example, retailing on Nordstrom for $249.95.

While its style offers enough of a resemblance to the original to be categorized as a statement piece, the grey suede is less dramatic than the LV color mix, making this bootie great for all those looking to bring in some high fashion to their every day wardrobe.
