Trend Alert: Perforated Leather Is Back!

As you may remember, this time last year, the emergence of perforated leather was kind of a big thing. Almost everyone who was anyone was incorporating perforations into their Spring 2010 designs. From Prada with its Perforated Saffiano Stripe Boston, to Balenciaga with its classic City Bag in perforated leather, to even YSL with its Perforated Leather Zipped Tote , fashion houses made it clear that perforated leather was the texture of choice.  Actually, correct that! Continues to be the texture of choice. Surprized?! Not really. Considering the texture’s popularity with so many different fashion circles out there (from Rihanna’a glam rock to Kristen Cavallari’s california girl style), it was only natural the texture was going to make a comeback.

Happy times indeed right?! But unlike last year, a big plus this season is that the focus isn’t solely on the bags. Instead, the perforated leather is making its way into every woman’s other most beloved item – the shoe, and is being dyed and styled to fit the taste accordingly.
