good friends & good days

yesterday was a good day.
i sat in my big comfy chair sipping coffee, listening to a little van morrison on pandora
& feeling grateful for several things.

i've been somewhat buried in some work things lately
so it felt great to get back to the gym.
then onto cowboy boot shopping with a friend that i love spending time with.

two friends blessed me yesterday is ways that probably in the grand scheme of life aren't monumental
but
were monumental to me.
a sweet friend that would drive across town to hand me free tickets for this weekends UGA game
(it's AXO parent weekend with savannah!!)
a sweet friend who sent me a book that i can't wait to read
& i look forward to sharing with you soon~

both of them touched my heart
& reminded me that the Lord sees all that we do
& often times blesses us through the tangible gifts of another.

came home & opened my mailbox to  find
the antrhopologie christmas catalog
garnet hill holiday catalog
mini boden holiday catalog
pottery barn holiday catalog
& a refund check from our insurance company!
sweet!

had a great catch up conversation with my Hawaii bestie
enjoyed having the windows open to a glorious breezy day
& spent some time editing photos of a super cute baby girl.

i pulled up our own photos from halloween & thought how happy i am for caroline.
she's really found a sweet sweet niche of precious little girls.
she went to camp with several
is in a bible study with them
dances with them
& feels like she has a great group of friends at school.
not a click, but a group of girls who she loves spending time with.

she came home from school the other day
& said, mama, i'm so happy that i'm friends with these girls
& i think they like me.

with great magazines, good friends,
generous people that inspire me to be a giver
hazelnut coffee at 3 o'clock
& homemade pizza for dinner
it was definitely a good day.

(not sure why i look like i'm walking a balance beam here)

for those of you interested in creating a photobook for one of your holiday gifts,
enjoy
