Everybody’s “this week’s pick”

   This week’s pick was hard to miss. Proenza Schouler PS1 Bag was the bag on everybody’s minds. Audrinna Patridge “love love love['s] this”, picking it out as THE leather satchel for school. The bloggers at Purseblog reserved a “special place” in their “hearts” for it. And everybody else loved the satchel so much that as soon as it debuted on Net-a-Porter, it was sold out! In case you are interested, the bags can take an average $1,595 cut into your budget, with the Python version setting you back $4,250 – that is if reptiles are your thing.

   While the monochrome versions of this purse aren’t my favourite – I think them to be rather dull -, the black and white patterned version of the bag could go nicely with almost anything in anybody’s wardrobe. This is especially so if your career attire is plain and you are in dire need of an accessory to spice it up a little for you.

   If this got your heart pounding, but you can’t quite find a spare $1,595 (+Tax) lying around, here are some alternatives for you. A great little satchel I found is Guess by Marciano’s Delano Leather Satchel retailing for $235 (first below). The darker brown leather makes it perfect for a warmer fall palette or for the ‘in-style’ military look. Another satchel similar in style to the Proenza Schouler is Topshop’s Medium Buckle Leather Satchel retailing for $100 (second below).
