do you know your child's love language?
i think it's one of the most fascinating discoveries
to find out how to love well
those in our little nest.
are also important to factor in.
i'm fairly certain
little bit's love language is receiving gifts.
"Don’t mistake this love language for materialism;
the receiver of gifts thrives on the love, thoughtfulness, and effort behind the gift.
If you speak this language, the perfect gift or gesture shows that you are known, you are cared for, and you are prized above whatever was sacrificed to bring the gift to you.
A missed birthday, anniversary, or a hasty, thoughtless gift would be disastrous—so would the absence of everyday gestures."
as much as she feels loved when someone
gives a gift to her
she has her own generous spirit.
for christmas she went out
& spent her money
on gifts for each of us.
she spent a great deal of time & made thoughtful decisions
on what the perfect gift would be.
( she gave me a fabulous ring
& gold journal from charlotte russe! score!)
& gold journal from charlotte russe! score!)
she loves to wrap each gift
& write a sweet little note to go along with it.
one year, her pop pop gave her $50.
it burned a hole in her pocket.
not at target.
not at the mall.
she wanted to give it all away.
every penny.
she wanted to give it a family in need at church
or put the 50 spot in the offering.
yesterday she received a package from one of my precious readers
who has also become a friend.
susan most certainly has an incredible generous spirit.
susan most certainly has an incredible generous spirit.
as she opened the package she exclaimed
"oh mama, she so knows me"
last year when caroline was seeing both a neurologist
& a gastroenterologist for her migraines
and some other issues,
and some other issues,
my sweet friend sent her a plethora of love!
i have the same love language.
whether i open a card or an extravagant gift
i'm always blown away that the giver took the time
to pick out a special gift to make me feel loved.
so when my sweet friend loves on my baby girl
she loves on me too.
thank you susan.
you are truly a blessing to me.
you are truly a blessing to me.
i would love to hear how you feel loved~
John 13:34& 35
Let me give you a new command:
Love one another.
In the same way I loved you, you love one another.
This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples
when they see the love you have for each other
Love one another.
In the same way I loved you, you love one another.
This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples
when they see the love you have for each other
